Digital Pressure Temperature Sensor (DPTS)
The Digital Pressure Temperature Sensor (DPTS) is a device that measures pressure and up to two temperatures. The device is suitable for gases such as N2, CO2, Ultra dry air; for hydraulic oils; and for all ASHRAE safety group A1, A2 and A2L refrigerants such as R134A, R22, R404A, R410A and etc. For best-in-class reliability, this integrated design does not use any O-ring for seals.
The end-user may utilize pressure and/or temperature readings as input to send a desired fixed or variable PWM output to electrical equipment, such as actuators, LED lights, and compressor contactors via solid-state relay. The DPTS can also be used as a real-time superheat sensor when installed at the evaporator outlet of an HVAC or Refrigeration system.
Special Features include:
- Pressure and temperature (s) sensor
- Palm size compact design with plug and play capability
- Programmable PWM output
- Real-time superheat calculation
- UL listed for all ASHRAE safety group A1 refrigerants
- UL recognized for all ASHRAE safety group A2 and A2L refrigerants
- Embedded software with bootloading capability
- Extensive fault detection embedded software:
Low/High pressure, Low/High temperature, Low/High superheat etc. - MODBUS RTU protocol with RS485 Communication BUS
- Windows-based Graphical User Interface
The DPTS hardware is comprised of an integrated MEMS pressure sensor and an intelligent micro-processing unit. The wiring harness (sold separately) for DPTS includes an external temperature sensor, RS485 communication wires, power input wires, PWM output wires, and two general-purpose wires for an option to add a second temperature sensor. The end-user communicates with the DPTS using the MODBUS RTU interface controller or by using DMQ’s Windows OS-based graphical user interface.
