Our Policy on Conflict Minerals

In response to violence and human rights violations in the mining of certain minerals from Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and surrounding countries, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has adopted rules to implement reporting and disclosure requirements related to “conflict minerals,” as directed by the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010.

We are assessing whether our products contain such conflict minerals: tantalum, tin, tungsten or gold derived from ores mined in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and adjoining countries where on-going conflict has been linked to human rights violations, labor abuses, and environmental degradation.

DMQ supports the humanitarian goal of ending violent conflict in the DRC and surrounding countries and are committed to the responsible sourcing of “conflict minerals” throughout our supply chain. The global supply chain for these minerals is complex, and tracing the minerals in our products to their source is a challenge. DMQ is working diligently with our suppliers and other stakeholders to identify and improve the process for sourcing minerals that are “conflict-free”.

In addition, we expect our suppliers (and their suppliers) to exercise due diligence on the source and chain of custody of the tantalum, tin, tungsten and gold used in components or products they supply to us.
